Delete your Nest Apps account
One Nest Apps account signs you in to both Simmr and Tally. Deleting it removes your personal data from both apps at once. You do not need the app installed, or to be able to sign in, to request deletion on this page.
Delete from inside the app
The fastest way. Open Simmr or Tally, go to Profile, choose Delete account, and confirm. Deletion starts immediately.
Request deletion by email
If you can no longer sign in, or you prefer email, write to privacy@nestapps.ch from the email address on your account and include:
- the email address your account is registered with
- which apps you used: Simmr, Tally, or both
We confirm receipt within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying that the request comes from the account owner.
What gets deleted
- your sign-in credentials, so the account can no longer be used
- your profile: name, email address, and photo
- your settings, linked devices, and notification registrations
- your Simmr content: pantry data, recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists that belong to your account
- your memberships and pending invites in every group
What is kept, and why
Expenses and settlements you took part in stay in the shared group ledger, reattached to a neutral "Deleted user" placeholder. Removing them would silently change the balances of everyone else in your groups. The placeholder carries no name, no email address, no photo, and no other personal data.
Purchase and billing records are kept for as long as accounting law requires, then removed.
Timeline
- in-app deletion starts immediately
- email requests: receipt confirmed within 7 days, deletion completed within 30 days of verification
- deleted data leaves our encrypted database backups within a further 30 days, so no copy remains after 60 days at most
Google Play subscriptions
Deleting your Nest Apps account does not cancel a subscription bought through Google Play, such as Simmr Plus. Cancel it separately in the Google Play app under Payments and subscriptions, otherwise Google will keep billing you after the account is gone.
